The Brownie Times 5 PM Thursday, June 4

Good Evening Everyone!

So Today was another good day. After speaking with nurses this afternoon we found out that the doctors decided not to put in a shunt today. They have decided to clamp off his drain tube and monitor it for 24 hours to see if the fluid will drain properly on its own. They will do another MRI tomorrow mid-day to confirm wether or not it is draining properly. If it is draining then they will pull the external drain. If it is not then they will go ahead with the shunt.

The AMAZING part of the day was when mom got to TALK to dad for the first time in two and half weeks. They started speech therapy with him today and he was on a roll so they called mom so she could join in. She was able to talk to him for a couple of minutes. He told her he loved her a couple of times and tried very hard to say some other things but they were unable to understand him. Mom of course was on cloud nine for the rest of the day. We ask for prayers that this progress will continue and he will be able to communicate more and more.

Thank you all again for your love and prayers,

The Tomlinson Clan
