Daily Update

Mom's great news today:  Dad has had a good day.  He walked 585 steps today and rode the bike for PT.  Dad was awake when mom got there and mom was able to rub his neck and shoulders and then he dose in and out of sleep.  Mom said the Physical Therapist is very happy about dad's progress. 

This is a video from a couple of days ago.  One of the worst things it to not be able to drink any water or have ice chips because of the tracheotomy tube.  The nurse would only allow him to use one of these sponges to combat dry mouth.  He was able to dip the sponge into a cup of water.  (I remember being able to use one of these.)
